Julia in Albuquerque

We have tried to be really mindful of Juuli while in Albuquerque. We have still not told her that Olivia is sick, but she is obviously concerned and can feel our anxiety even though we have been careful to always leave the room when crying. We have still been telling her that Olivia is sleeping at the hospital, but after hearing her talk about a "bad baby" while lying down for a nap today so we may start lying about where we are going some of the time for now on. Juuli seems to express feelings with her imagination and random side comments. We have made an extra effort today to tell Juuli that her sister misses her and loves her and can't wait to come home and see her. This makes her smile and dance. If anyone reading this is educated on this sorta stuff, please feel free to comment.

On a happier note, we have spent a lot of time with Julia. Of course Petra is still at the beginning stages of recovery, but we went to feed the ducks and ride the Tingley Beach train yesterday. We also managed to do a little shopping with her. Today we even took a short walk at the Rio Grande. Petra is being really tough. At home we have painted with Juuli, drawn pictures, played games, and let her dance a lot. My mom and Vanessa have really been a God-sent for us in this regard and play with her all the time. Julia is allowing them to do everything in our place including taking her to potty, feeding her, and putting her to bed so we are feeling SO lucky.
